New opportunities for working with NECT

Through our Resilient Heritage grant we are now recruiting for two new team members - An Assistant Director - Historic Assets and Projects Manager and a Social Enterprise Business Development Officer. Full details of these two posts can be downloaded below. Deadline for applications to be received is Thursday 20th April, by midnight. Interviews will be held on Monday 8th May in our office in Newcastle.

Volunteer opportunities

There are lots of opportunities for volunteers to help us with our projects, learn more about our area of work and also gain new skills and experience. If you are interested in community engagement, conservation, planning, heritage skills and training, administration, data input and database projects please get in touch. There are opportunities to work with us in our office in Newcastle but also on our site based projects in Cumbria. Please call us for an informal chat on 0191 232 9279 and ask for Rose or Jules.

Ad hoc/freelance opportunities

We are always interested to hear from anyone who would like to work with us on an ad hoc/ freelance basis, as and when workload dictates. We are particularly interested in people with experience of funding (in particular Heritage Lottery Funding), conservation planning, project management and the ability to apply the principles of best practice in conservation and design, but who may not be seeking permanent employment.

Although our main office is in Newcastle, we have teams based in Yorkshire and Cumbria and would welcome interest from across our area of operation.
